The Opportunity
We are seeking a Risk Analyst to join our Risk Management team. This role will provide analytical, reporting, and operational support across the Risk function, helping to monitor risk performance, strengthen decision-making, and contribute to strategic initiatives.
Reporting to the Director of Risk, the Risk Analyst will play a critical role in data analysis, dash-boarding, risk monitoring, and ad hoc research. The position is designed to be fungible across our core risk functions, providing exposure to the full breadth of risk management activities in a high-growth fintech environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate early in their career who is curious, data-driven, and eager to develop expertise across underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and risk modeling.

This is a hybrid role based in NYC.
Responsibilities
Risk Monitoring and Analysis
- Track and analyze performance across key risk metrics (loss ratio, delinquency, claims, portfolio concentration).
- Identify emerging patterns and trends, escalating potential risks proactively.
- Support ongoing enhancements to risk frameworks, monitoring tools, and processes.
Reporting & Insights
- Build and maintain dashboards, recurring reports, and executive summaries to inform decision-making.
- Deliver independent analysis of portfolio, underwriting, and claims performance.
- Assist in stress testing, scenario analysis, and risk segmentation.
Data Exploration
- Conduct quality checks on risk and claims data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Support development and documentation of risk processes and methodologies.
- Perform research and exploratory analysis to answer business-critical questions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Assist in preparing data extracts, charts, and materials to support cross-functional projects.
- Provide analytical support for initiatives led by Product, Data, Finance, and Business Operations teams.
- Respond to ad hoc data and reporting requests, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or Actuarial Science is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in analytics, risk management, finance, or related fields.
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL; Python skills a plus.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Base Salary
The base salary range is between $110,000 - $130,000 annually.
Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, location and current market data and may vary from the range above.
