Summary
The Associate Product Manager, Utility & Telecom will be a key member of the Commercial Sales Organization. A key focus on external and internal customer service while having a self-lead “ownership” type mentality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Work with Sales teams (Local, National and Rental); to drive Sales, Rental, and Profitability in the Utility & Telecom Segment
- Assist in developing and driving overall account growth strategy, while developing and enhancing “Corporate Relationships”.
- Attend production calls with manufacturing facilities to confirm scheduling and obstacles.
- Focus will be on “new” sales and rental.
- Communicate goals and strategy for each National Account to exceed volume, profit, and share expectations.
- Commercial Expertise: Customer; Product / Solutions; Market; Competition
- The ability to articulate and sell the entire “CTOS Story.”
- Conduct market segmentation, strategy, and competitive analysis to identify the best opportunities.
- Work with the master scheduling team to form accurate production schedules.
- Prepare accurate quotes working with the appropriate teams.
- Work in concert with the PM and manufacturing team to schedule delivery dates to customers.
- Communicate with CTOS vendors in all aspects of the buying process.
- Collaborate with PM on best segment policies for future growth.
- Work with production on continued product improvement. Attend SIOP discussions.
- Give production timely feedback on any warranty claims.
- Participate in marketing meetings discussing effective marketing strategies to ensure segment growth.
- Give guidance to other sales staff on effective selling techniques of equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will possess 3 or more years of Industry and Product experience, while understanding all aspects of vocational and utility customers including the emphasis on customer responsiveness and collaborative selling.
- He/she will have a strategic sales process mindset and be oriented towards sales enablement and efficiency.
- He/she will have excellent analytical skills, be able to gather and digest applicable data, and develop a deep understanding of both the financial and operational levels.
- He/she will have communication and presentation skills that can be adapted to fit the needs from the c-suite to the shop floor.

Working Conditions
- At times, the job is performed under extreme temperature variations and some hazardous conditions while on-site with customers.
- Must be able to safely operate equipment at heights up to and exceeding 100 feet.
- Safety MUST be the priority while in CTOS shops or on a customer jobsite.
Physical Requirements
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms of heights above 42”, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling throughout an 8-12-hour day, and up to 60 hours per week.
