Job Title: System Integration Laboratory (SIL) Manager


Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced System Integration Laboratory (SIL) Manager to lead and manage operations within our program’s integration lab. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, proven experience running a lab environment, and demonstrated program management skills to align lab activities with broader program objectives. This individual must be able to communicate professionally with internal stakeholders, government customers, and program sponsors, ensuring the SIL operates efficiently, securely, and in direct support of program milestones.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain lab equipment, systems, and infrastructure to ensure readiness and availability.
  • Perform system and functional testing, troubleshoot issues, and support integration activities.
  • Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, and results reports.
  • Conduct audits and manage inventory of lab materials, hardware, and software assets.
  • Provide program management oversight of SIL activities, ensuring alignment with program schedules, deliverables, and performance objectives.
  • Track SIL-related risks, resources, and priorities; coordinate with program leadership to mitigate issues and ensure mission success.
  • Coordinate with program leadership, customers, and sponsors to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure requirements are met.
  • Ensure lab operations comply with security, safety, and quality standards.
  • Support program milestones, demonstrations, and verification activities within the SIL.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience managing or supporting a laboratory/test environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of system integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing lab inventory, materials, and audit processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and sponsors.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to support program goals.
  • Proven experience in program or project management, including scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, networking, or system administration within a lab environment.
  • Familiarity with configuration management and test documentation standards.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Must be able to obtain a CompTIA Security Plus certification after hiring
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
