Description
The Warehouse & Materials Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. This role ensures the accuracy of inventory, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety and compliance standards. The supervisor will lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff to maintain a productive, organized, and safe working environment.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, storage, and inventory management.
- Ensure accurate tracking of inventory and materials, maintaining stock levels, and performing regular cycle counts.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Implement and maintain warehouse processes, policies, and best practices to maximize efficiency.
- Train, coach, and evaluate warehouse staff, fostering teamwork and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
- Analyze workflow and operational data to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Resolve operational issues, including inventory discrepancies, delays, or quality concerns.
- Oversee proper maintenance and utilization of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Prepare reports related to inventory, productivity, and material usage for management review.

QUALIFICATIONS / PRIOR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Acumatica).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions (temperature, noise, dust, etc.).
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.

Work Schedule: 7:00am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday, Occasional Saturdays may be required. Supervisors are expected to be present when their team is working unless otherwise agreed.
