As the Production Assistant on our production team, you will be responsible for supporting the production team and helping to elevate the quality of our Front Office Sports Today daily flagship show and the rest of our audio and video programming through editing, production, and native social posting.
This is a full-time, in-person role based in Front Office Sports’ New York office, with on-site attendance required five days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Support producer and team in-studio with live tapings and interview capture
- Log and organize footage for easy distribution through production pipeline
- Support team with daily story research
- Edit polished segments for Front Office Sports Today daily and assist with clipouts for social media and partners
- Build graphics for use within Front Office Sports Today
- Enhance content with graphics, transitions, B-roll, and animations.
- Ensure timely delivery and high quality to meet production standards.
- Stay current with current trends, especially in the sports, video editing, and podcasting industries.
- Assist with technical operation of studio and equipment
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Ideal Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in audio and video editing, preferably in the sports or media industry
- Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Suite, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop)
- Familiarity and comfort working within control rooms and studio environments
- High attention to detail and focus on results
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for sports and a deep understanding of sports culture and content
- Resourceful team player with strong ability to problem solve
Additional Skills & Expertise:
- Experience with motion graphics and animation (After Effects, Motion Array)
- Familiarity working with a production team and talent
- Understanding of social media video optimization on all platforms (X (Twitter), Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Snapchat)
- Previous work with high-profile podcasts or media personalities
- Videography/shooting experience (familiarity with equipment, managing logistics, and collaborating)
