About the Role

We are looking for Business Intelligence Specialist to provide day to day management for the data services organization and building the capabilities needed to effectively manage and continuously improve our data processing, as well as identifying and driving targeted performance tuning and optimization opportunities. 


As an integral member of our delivery team, the Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist is responsible for the design, development, implementation, management and support of mission critical enterprise BI reporting and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and environments. Working with cross-functional teams, you will be required to gather, document, and approve business requirements for data analysis and reporting projects, as well as use BI and database tools to develop reporting solutions to meet business needs. Using your skills and experience as a BI Specialist, you will design, develop and implement ETL processes to transform structured, unstructured and disparate source data into the target data store(s)/ data warehouse(s) / data mart(s). What you can do for us:

  • Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights
  • Create dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs)with clear objectives and consistently monitor those
  • Experience on Migration to AWS or Azure Snowflake platform
  • Must have Performance tuning and setting up resource monitors
  • Need to have knowledge on conversionof Data ingestion from SQL into Snowflake
  • Must have strong experience in Power BI and SSRS/Report Builder
  • Should have an Enterprise-level technical exposure to Snowflake applications
  • Analyzing data and present data through reports that aid decision-making
  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide timeline to accomplish
  • Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models
  • Chart creation and data documentation explaining algorithms, parameters, models, and relations
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform detailed analytics
  • Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI
  • Analyze current ETL process, define and design new systems
  • Data warehouse development and work with SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS
  • Redefine and make technical/strategic changes to enhance existing Business Intelligence systems
  • Design, develop and deploy business intelligence solutions as per needs
  • SQL querying for best results, use of filters and graphs for better understanding of data
  • Work with users and team members at all level for performance improvement and suggestions

Requirements

 

· 3+ years’ experience implementing enterprise-scale reporting systems, including : 

o Working with users in a requirements analysis role 

o Extensive use of SQL and RDBMS systems (SQL Server, Snowflake etc.) 

o Extensive experience with data warehouse implementations

o Strong knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts

· Expert knowledge building reports in with Power BI

· Demonstrated ability with ETL tools. Familiarity with FiveTran, dbt is a plus

· Performance tuning experience required

· Excellent interpersonal ( verbal and written) communication skills are required to support working in project environments that includes internal, external and customer teams

· Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities 

· Programming / scripting experience and knowledge of software development life cycle is preferred

· Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities

· The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 

· Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.

· Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.

· Required to use stairwells to attend meetings and engage with employees on multiple floors throughout building.

Starting base salary: $85,000 - $93,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
