JOB SUMMARY
Performs a variety of general labor functions to support operation requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains facility cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors, disposing waste in the appropriate areas, and other activities while adhering to all legislated and industry safety standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a handyman, maintenance or housekeeping role, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Forklift operation skills – Counterbalance Forklift and Reach Truck experience required, Floor Scrubber experience preferred, Order Picker/Cherry Picker experience is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, labor-intensive environment with changing temperatures.
- Ability to walk, squat, twist, bend, and kneel for intervals of 15-30 minutes.
- Ability to read/write and interpret documents, and do basic math.
- High school or equivalent level of education preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work requires moderate muscular exertion and/or physical strain such as frequently climbing or, recurring bending, lifting, or lowering of items weight up to 50 pounds.
