Position Assignment to the WAYS Career Path Program: Leadership
Job Objective
Executive-level leadership of the local Accounting function, with full responsibility for financial integrity, compliance, and strategic alignment of all accounting activities related to the legal entity. Ensure conformance with external legal (commercial and tax) requirements and internal group accounting standards. Act as a key advisor to executive management, supporting business decisions with high-quality financial insight.
Description of Main Tasks

Strategic Leadership in Developing and implementign local accounting strategy aligned with global and regional directives, ensuring consistency with overall group objectives and financial governance principles.

Organizational Effectiveness while Designing and maintaining a high-performing accounting structure and internal processes that ensure operational excellence, robust internal controls, and scalability.

Lead, coach, and develop the local Accounting team to drive performance, accountability, and continuous professional growth. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Provide both functional guidance and direct managerial oversight of the local accounting organization, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, compliance, and risk mitigation.

Drive the implementation of global accounting standards, tools, and best practices, ensuring proper adaptation to local statutory requirements where applicable.

Ensure highly effective internal and external audit processes, maintaining readiness and full documentation in compliance with corporate and legal obligations.

Oversee and actively manage HR-related activities for the accounting team, including target setting, performance reviews, development plans, and compensation discussions.

Partner closely with the General Manager to provide financial transparency and ensure that accounting deliverables support broader business and operational goals.
Additional Tasks

Must be willing and able to work collaboratively with accounting and operational teams based in Buford, GA, including participation in cross-site initiatives, knowledge sharing, and process alignment.
Skills & Competencies
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA, CPA, or equivalent qualification strongly preferred)

Approximately 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within an industrial or manufacturing environment

Minimum 3 years of experience working within an international/multinational corporate structure

Demonstrated leadership experience with a strong track record of team development and cross-cultural collaboration

Deep understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
-
English fluency at C1–C2 level (able to communicate clearly and precisely in complex business and financial contexts)
