Sinch is looking for an Junior Data Engineer to build, maintain and support data pipelines from all our products around the world, using innovative approaches and technologies in the market.. In this role, you should have a proven background in SQL, Python and ETL/ELT. The ideal candidate will be able to proactively tackle problems and design data pipelines that empower the data domain and connect Sinch through data.
Responsibilities:
- This is an opportunity for you to implement high-impact initiatives in a fast-growing business. We make things happen and we know how important they are – to our customers and the world;
- Work on the data integration of various platforms and products;
- Contribute to data pipelines development, performance, quality, monitoring, and maintenance;
- Identify opportunities for improvement in our data movement pipelines;
- Participate in data engineering projects;
Requirements
Must to have
- Solid knowledge in software development (e.g.: Python, Spark, Git, CI/CD, Docker);
- Experience with SQL to query data and build ETL/ELTs;
- Experience working with data lake and data warehouse, using best practices to structure and store big volumes of data;
- Experience in data pipeline creation/orchestration tools (e.g.: Airflow, Dagster);
- Experience using Databricks;
- Cloud experience (e.g.: AWS or GCP);
- Advanced English.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of different data architectures (e.g.: Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric);
- Experience working with Data Warehouse tools (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake)
- Experience with real-time data processing and analytics;
- Good communication skills to deal with stakeholders from technical areas and business areas;
- Fluent English;
- Demonstrated commitment to staying updated with industry trends and adopting new technologies.
