Enterprise Systems team oversees the university's enterprise resource planning systems. It's an Agile team of PeopleSoft experts, who are leading the charge in enhancing the SFU experience with modern IT solutions within Oracle Peoplesoft Enterprise Systems, including Campus Solutions, Human Capital Management, and Finance and Supply Chain Management systems available to SFU students, faculty, and staff.

About the Role

The Business Systems Analyst/Scrum Master is responsible for planning, designing, developing and supporting the ERP system-related roadmap for specific ERP applications, working with the University’s clients. This role is responsible for facilitating Agile practices and principles to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Additionally, this position works collaboratively with SFU’s stakeholders to understand institutional priorities and ensure alignment with IT initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a relevant field, and two years of related experience working with enterprise applications as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment, preferably in post-secondary education or public domain, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Knowledge of functional analysis, quality assurance, and change management best practices.
  • Knowledge of agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding in the specific ERP subject area.
  • Strong knowledge of the use of enterprise resource planning applications (e.g. Oracle Peoplesoft, Ellucian Banner, SAP).
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Scrum methodology and Agile principles.
  • Strong business analysis skills, with a proven ability to successfully conduct business and systems process analysis and design at a medium level of complexity to ensure solutions meet long-term business strategies.
  • Strong project management skills, with proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, teamwork, and mentorship skills.
  • Strong analytical reasoning, problem solving, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and remove impediments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Teams Whiteboard, Confluence).
