The Art & Art Education Department is seeking candidates for Student Employment Student Studio Technician.
Depending on which studio you are working in or which class you will be assisting your job duties will vary. This position is looking for students to work in the sculpture studio, ceramics studio, printmaking studio or fiber arts.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance and safe use of the studios
- Perform daily cleaning and organization of the space
- Be prepared to answer questions from your fellow students about how to use the studios properly
- Ensure that everyone attempting to use the studios have received the proper permission and training
Learning Objectives:
- Gain a deeper and more thorough understanding of the equipment and processes used in art studios
- Develop the confidence and knowledge to observe and, if necessary, correct the use of studio equipment
Learn about what it takes to manage studio spaces so they can function and be used safely and successfully
