We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the solutioning and pricing efforts for End-to-End (E2E) Venue Coverage proposals. This SME will play a key role in creating complex RFP / RFQ’s and proposals for Tier 1 operators (e.g. T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T) and infrastructure vendors (e.g. Crown Castle, American Tower, Boldyn, Halo, etc). The role involves estimating costs for services, materials and installation activities across the entire project lifecycle while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to validate assumptions and define scope.
What will your job look like?
· Define and recommend appropriate technical solutions (e.g., DAS, D-RAN, small / pico cell, hybrid architectures, etc) to meet venue-specific coverage, capacity, and carrier requirements.
· Develop accurate, end-to-end cost estimates for IBW / DAS / small cell deployments, covering services, labor, materials, and installation across all project phases - from site scoping and RF design to commissioning and closeout.
· Support complex RFPs and RFQs by preparing clear, well-documented proposals with itemized pricing, technical justifications, and identified risks, exclusions, and dependencies to enable informed customer decisions and internal approvals.
· Collaborate with internal Amdocs Lines of Business (Design, Integration, Optimization, etc.) and external stakeholders (OEMs, vendors, carriers, infrastructure partners) to validate solution assumptions, level of effort, and delivery scope.
· Review and interpret in-building (iBwave) designs, construction drawings and system layouts / floorplans to ensure solution feasibility and accuracy of estimates.
· Align proposals with customer workflows and systems, ensuring compliance with carrier standards, technical readiness and deployment methodologies.
· Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of standardized cost templates, estimation tools, equipment databases and solution design libraries to support scalable, repeatable proposal efforts across Tier 1 operators and infrastructure vendors.
All you need is...
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications or related field - or equivalent experience.
· 5+ years of experience in wireless infrastructure projects, with emphasis on in-building / small cell and hybrid wireless solutions.
· Proficiency in developing technical and cost proposals for Tier 1 carriers and infrastructure vendors; experience with carrier-specific tools and standards
· Strong understanding of RF systems (LTE / 5G), DAS. small cell and hybrid architectures, construction and integration / commissioning workflows.
· Knowledge of structured cabling and fiber installation standards and familiarity with civil and power engineering fundamentals related to telecom infrastructure (e.g. conduit, power feed design, IDF / MDF room layouts)
· Demonstrated expertise in DAS / RAN architectures, RF design software (e.g., iBwave), DAS OEM hardware platforms (CommScope, SOLiD, Ericsson, etc.), and BOM generation - including cost modeling for materials and labor.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical scope and pricing assumptions to both internal teams and external clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Hands-on experience with operator-specific project tools and portals (e.g., T-Mobile MagentaBuilt, Verizon FUZE, etc).
· Existing relationships with stakeholders from Tier 1 operators (e.g., T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T), infrastructure vendors (e.g., Crown, Boldyn, American Tower), and RAN and DAS OEM vendors (e.g. Ericsson, CommScope, SOLiD, JMA, etc).
· PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification is a plus.
· Primarily on-site / remote, with occasional site visits or in-person planning sessions
· Some travel required for customer meetings, project scoping or field assessments.
Why you will love this job:
- You will work on large challenging and complex programs
- You will be able to work with and lead the best and brightest minds to collaborate across accounts/regions to provide a single voice
