Summary:
The EH&S Coordinator plays a critical role in promoting a culture of safety and compliance across all company facilities. This position is responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of environmental health and safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. The EH&S Coordinator will proactively identify risks, conduct regular safety inspections, and report findings to the EH&S team2. In addition to field responsibilities, this role will also manage essential administrative tasks, including submitting purchase orders and ordering necessary EH&S supplies to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Compensation: $22 - $25
Location: 100% on-site at Napa, CA offices.
You Will:
- Monitor employees during daily operations to ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and company-specific environmental health and safety (EH&S) regulations and policies.
- Document and report any violations of safety policies, guidelines, or regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify and communicate any potential exposure hazards to affected teams and leadership.
- Complete a daily shift checklist of assigned EH&S responsibilities.
- Conduct frequent patrols of facilities to observe employee practices, assess building safety conditions, address EH&S concerns, and verify all doors and entry points are properly secured.
- Perform both scheduled and spot-check inspections of facility cleanliness and employee workspaces, ensuring they meet internal housekeeping standards and external health and environmental requirements.
- Ensure employees and visitors are equipped with and properly wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE); assist with distribution of PPE as needed.
- Enforce company dress code and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) compliance.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and mutual respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
You Have:
- Minimum 2 years experience in EH&S.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects, tasks, and competing priorities.
- A valid California driver’s license and eligibility to be added to the company’s auto insurance policy.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent; additional safety or compliance certifications are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain workflow and documentation in an orderly and efficient manner.
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
- A clean driving record and willingness to travel between multiple facilities as needed.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, sit, and lift up to 40 lbs
- Must be able to sit or stand for a long period of time (8 or more hours per day)
- Will be in different temperatures and conditions, daily.
