POSITION DESCRIPTION:

- Work with KPI operations, Project Management to assist KPI Safety in development of site-specific safety plans.
- Work with KPI operations, Estimating, and Project Management on timely delivery of AEP Site Specific Construction Plans, Wire Pull Plans, and other documents as needed.
- Provide construction site management for station or line transmission construction projects to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local & Company standards, programs, drawings, and specifications. Prepares progress reports on the construction phase, revise field drawings to agree with as built installations, provide quality performance feedback on contractors, material and equipment and other documentation as necessary.
- Ensure construction is being done according to plans. When there are changes, this role will be responsible for communicating the changes to the customer for approval prior to execution.
- Work with operations team to develop project specific tooling, equipment, and resources needs based off preliminary construction activities, customer provided specifications & schedules.
- Coordinate and manage subcontracted work force for line and station projects. Coordinator will work with subcontractors to develop and implement site specific safety plans and ensure subcontractors are following customer, OSHA, and Kent Power rules and regulations.
- Perform QA/QC functions during construction phases of each project as directed. Participate in QA/QC final walkdowns on projects.
- Work with the customer team during construction activities. Preliminary construction activities include, but are not limited to:
- Construction requirements and reporting.
- Safety interactions and reporting.
- Weekly field status updates.
- Bi-weekly project reporting and meeting with the Project Management team.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships.
- Work with Operations and Project teams to develop continuous improvement plans to promote new construction ideas and methods to positively impact safety, operations, project management, and more.
- Assist the Project team on project closeout requirements put in place by KPI and the customer.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma with 15+ years of relevant construction experience in transmission, distribution, and substation construction. Construction Management experience is a plus.
- High level understanding of construction best practices for AEP in both line and substation construction.
- Must be able to read and understand customer blueprints and specifications.
