Position:  Teacher - PE/Wellness (P422) 

Location:  Rock Branch Elementary School

Evaluated by:  Principal/Assistant Principal

Salary Range: Professional_Salary_Schedule_Annual_2024.pdf (core-docs.s3.amazonaws.com) based on experience and education level per Putnam County Board of Education salary schedule plus a competitive benefits package to include: PEIA insurance, retirement, life insurance, and free vision and dental insurance.

Job Description: The Elementary School PE/Wellness teacher is assigned to deliver a comprehensive physical education and wellness program in accordance with state law and West Virginia Board of Education and county policies and regulations.

Qualifications:  Holds or qualifies for a West Virginia Professional or Temporary Teaching Certificate endorsed for physical education and wellness at the grade levels applicable to this assignment (K-6).

Length of Employment:  200  days 

Responsibilities: The Elementary School School PE/Wellness Teacher shall have the responsibilities and duties as outlined in the Putnam County Schools Job Description Handbook.

Effective employment date:  09/03/2025
