Job Description:
Assist classroom teachers in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under the supervision of a certified teacher. Involves working with children who may have behavior plans.
Salary Range (Based on 2025-2026 Compensation Plan):
Minimum: $12.65/hour
Midpoint: $14.63/hour
Salary commensurate with related experience
Duty Days: 187
Start Date: September, 2025
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Have met formal academic assessment (Highly Qualified Test), Associate’s Degree, or 48 college hours
Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (District will make application to TEA once candidate is selected)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work with adolescent and teenage students
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to communicate effectively
Knowledge of general office equipment
