POSITION: Substitute Custodians
LOCATION: Various Buildings
HOURS: On-call, as needed. Hours vary.
SALARY: $18.70 per hour
NEW HIRES ARE CONDITIONAL UPON PASSING A FINGERPRINT SCREENING
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of building.
- Operates custodial equipment.
- Assist in district operations, maintenance and care of school buildings.
- Perform custodial duties indoors and/or outdoors as needed.
- Accept and carry out duties as assigned.
- Lift and move heavy objects up to 60 pounds unassisted.
- Assist in completion of duties from a ladder, heights, scissor lifts and/or Geni lifts.
- Provide exceptional customer service and responsiveness.
- Maintain good work attendance.
- Communicate professionally with staff, students, vendors and/or parents.
NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist other personnel as may be required to support them with the completion of their work activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Prior job-related experience preferred but not required.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License with a good driving record, required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Kowledge of general custodian duties.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Physical ability to do heavy lifting, prolonged standing, squatting, bending, stooping, carrying and/or climbing ladders.
- Ability to communicate clearly, work effectively with students, staff and/or parents.
- Ability to work all shifts.
