Summary:  

Metal Sales is the nation's largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems with 21 locations across America.  Our Bay City, MI branch has an opening on our production team for a Crate Builder.

 This is a permanent full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay!

 Regular hours for this position are Monday thru Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.  Overtime including working on weekends may be required.

 This is a permanent full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.  

 In this role, you produce skids and quality crates for packaging Metal Sales building products.  You also will assist with other tasks on the production / warehouse floor as needed.

 You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Building crates and skids for panel production and trim department
• Daily housekeeping in the wood shop area
• Proactively produce crates or skids, ahead of each production line
• Working in safe manner
• Being a team player and helping other production and warehouse departments with tasks as needed and assigned

 The most qualified candidates will have:

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and a micrometer
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to read and communicate well with others
• High school diploma or GED

 Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to stand or walk approximately 7 ½ hours minimum per work shift
• Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in the winter and summer months
• Noise level is moderate to loud
