General Pipe Foreman


Master Boat Builders is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented General Pipe Foreman who will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the fabrication and installation of piping components, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and production standards.  This individual will help manage a team of pipe Forman , ensuring efficient and accurate work within the shop.  The General Pipe Foreman will also help manage schedules, quality control, and may be involved in material procurement and inventory.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Direct and supervise the work of pipe Forman ensuring they are trained and performing their duties effectively. 
  • Manage schedules, prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines. 
  • Manage the productivity of the piping crews to avoid schedule delays. 
  • Understanding and following the workflow and process. 
  • Ensures that all fabricated and installed components meet required quality standards, inspecting work for accuracy and compliance with specifications. 
  • Enforce safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.  
  • Identifies and resolves issues or challenges that arise in the fabrication and installation process, ensuring smooth operations. 
  • Communicate effectively with managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient workflow. 
  • May be involved in training new employees and providing ongoing development opportunities for the team. 

 

Requirements

 Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years prior experience in a pipe fitting environment highly preferred. 
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills are required to effectively manage a team. 
  • A thorough understanding of fabrication techniques, piping systems, and welding processes is necessary. 
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are needed to address challenges that arise. 
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient workflow. 
  • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures. 

The schedule for this role is Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM and Friday 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM.  *Full benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and additional voluntary benefits. *
