Catbird is seeking a creative and driven Community & Retail Marketing Associate to join our growing team. This role will play a key part in bringing Catbird’s brand story to life across social media, community, and retail experiences. With a balance of content creation, influencer partnerships, events, and retail programming, you’ll work cross-functionally to strengthen our connection with customers both online and in-store.
Brand & Community Marketing
Social Media Content Creation: Support social lead with content needs, including filming jewelry unboxings and try-ons, BTS in the jewelry studio, events — as well as supporting our freelance content creators when they film in store or at the office. Support on brainstorming social content ideas for the evergreen content calendar as well as for launches and strategic initiatives.
UGC & Influencer Relationship Building: Scout influencers aligned to brand and campaign goals for evergreen strategies, allowlisting, and season opportunities – partnering with our agency and social lead. Responsibilities will span end to end: list building, outreach, contracts, and content briefs. You will also own maintaining the influencer tracker, seeding budget, and ROI – reporting monthly to leadership on business goals and outcomes.
PR & Gifting: Lead on product send-outs and returns for press loans. Lead scheduling editor appointments to visit in store. Owner for influencer/celebrity gifting initiatives — leads process of pulling product from inventory, packing and shipments.
Brand Partnership: Support marketing on special projects. Communicate across marketing, art, merch, retail and CX teams to foster cross-functional collaboration. Support on outreach and collaboration with brand partners. Assist on partnership decks.
Retail Marketing
Marketing: Manage the quarterly retail marketing budget and calendar, supporting the development of a strategy for programming, incentives, and localized influencer campaigns to drive awareness and growth in our physical stores. Own KPIs and reporting on retail marketing on a monthly basis.
Events: Owner of the experiential and events calendar, creating run-of-shows and project trackers for all in-store events, private events, off-sites, and promotion of our store services.
Creative: Assist in developing guidelines to maintain a cohesive brand identity in all elements of our retail programming, partnering with creative leads.
Retail Liaison: You will be the primary go-to between store leadership, creative, marketing, and merchandising teams when it comes to the planning and execution of retail programming.
Digital Marketing: Support the growth marketing manager on promoting in-store services to local audiences through content and storytelling. Own the messaging and visibility of store events and offers on site, in email/SMS, and on social channels.
Clienteling: Support store leadership in Building VIP clientele relationships. Propose and execute on initiatives to drive VIP sales through personal shopping, gift registry, in VIP offers, styling consultations, and in store exclusives.
Travel for new store openings, priority events, and select partnership events is expected.
Our Ideal Candidate
3-5 years of previous brand, retail and/or community marketing experience within the fashion or consumer goods industry.
Experience with and has a strong interest in influencer marketing and building relationships with tastemakers.
Experience with social media tools, such as Dash Social, Iconosquare, Asana, and Canva.
Experience in retail event ideation, execution, and refinement.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, with strong project management skills.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for fashion and digital marketing.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and collaborative attitude.
