Your Role: Advanced Practice Practitioner (PA or FNP)

This position is designed specifically for newly graduated PAs and FNPs who are ready to transition from the classroom into practice with confidence.

• You’ll begin with a comprehensive, hands-on training program in Asheville, learning directly from seasoned Mercy providers.

• After training, you’ll step into your full-time role in Boone, NC, serving Watauga County and beyond with skill, compassion, and confidence.

What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality care for non-life-threatening conditions across the lifespan.

• Perform diagnostic testing, suturing, splinting, and minor procedures under the guidance of experienced mentors.

• Build strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and patients.

• Deliver clear, compassionate patient communication and follow-up care.

What We’re Looking For

• Recent graduate of an accredited PA or FNP program.

• Current NC licensure (or eligibility).

• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain before start).

• Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a passion for patient-centered care.
