Position Overview
The Director of Enterprise-Wide Project Management provides leadership and oversight for organizational projects and initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining project management standards, methodologies, and governance processes to ensure successful execution of cross-functional initiatives that align with the company’s strategic objectives. The Director will partner with senior leadership to prioritize enterprise projects, allocate resources effectively, monitor performance, and drive accountability for outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), setting vision, strategy, and structure for project execution across the organization.
- Establishes and enforces project management frameworks, tools, and best practices to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.
- Collaborates with executive and senior leadership to identify, prioritize, and sequence enterprise initiatives in alignment with strategic goals.
- Oversees portfolio management, including project intake, resourcing, timelines, budgets, and risk management.
- Provides oversight of large-scale, complex, and high-impact projects across multiple business units.
- Drives transparency and accountability by implementing performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting to executive and senior leadership.
- Mentors and develops project managers and program leaders to build organizational project management capabilities.
- Serves as a key advisor to the leadership team on project feasibility, interdependencies, risks, and change management.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory, financial, and operational standards where applicable.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive project/program management experience, including leadership of enterprise-level initiatives.
- Proven success in establishing and managing an Enterprise PMO or equivalent structure.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
- PMP, PgMP, or similar certification strongly preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
