Description

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring each transaction processed and deliverable produced reflects the Marine Corps Association’s standards for accuracy, attention to detail, efficiency, and timeliness. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a depth of experience in accounting and a passion for making a positive impact.


This job is a civilian position and does not require military service (including commission and enlistment)

Requirements

Pay - $90,000-$105,000


Job Type - Full-time


  • Manage and record financial transactions
  • Maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions
  • Coordinate and perform monthly, quarterly, annual close processes
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements
  • Assist in budget development
  • Assist in annual audit procedures
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, 2 years of relevant nonprofit experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and reporting requirements
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting software, office software suites, records management processes, and electronic communications
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and present it in a clear, concise manner
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
