Securitas is looking to hire  a Mall Security Officer.

 

Full time

 

 Fri & Sat 1400-2200; Mon 1300-1800; Wed 1000-1800; Thur 0800-1600

Pay rate: $18.54

Job Summary:

The Mall Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all shoppers, tenants, and staff within the mall premises. This role involves monitoring activity, responding to emergencies, enforcing mall policies, and deterring criminal or suspicious behavior to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol mall property on foot or by vehicle to ensure safety and security.

  • Monitor surveillance systems and alarms.

  • Respond to emergencies such as theft, disturbances, medical incidents, or fire alarms.

  • Enforce mall rules, policies, and applicable laws.

  • Escort individuals off the premises when necessary.

  • Write detailed reports on incidents and daily activities.

  • Assist with lost and found procedures.

  • Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services as needed.

  • Provide customer service to visitors and tenants, including giving directions or assistance.

  • Monitor entrances and exits to prevent theft and unauthorized access.

  • Perform bag checks or metal detection screening (if required).

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean MVR

  • Prior experience in security a plus

  • Valid security guard license or able to obtain.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
