The Treatment Plan Coordinator serves as the patient’s guide through their treatment journey. This role focuses on presenting treatment plans, explaining insurance coverage, and ensuring patients feel confident in moving forward with recommended care. The coordinator works closely with the clinical and front office teams to support case acceptance, patient education, and financial arrangements. 

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with patients to review dentist-recommended treatment plans in detail.
   
• Clearly explain procedures, benefits, risks, and alternatives in patient-friendly language.
   
• Review insurance benefits, calculate patient portions, and provide accurate cost estimates.
   
• Present financing options and coordinate payment arrangements.
   
• Answer patient questions and address concerns to improve case acceptance.
   
• Track pending treatment plans and follow up with patients who have not scheduled.
   
• Collaborate with the dentist, hygienist, and front office team to ensure smooth communication.
   
• Maintain accurate documentation of discussions, estimates, and patient decisions.
   
• Assist with scheduling treatment appointments once plans are accepted.
   
• Monitor treatment acceptance metrics and report trends to office management.

Requirements

• Prior dental office experience-REQUIRED
   
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and insurance processes.
   
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust with patients.
   
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
   
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple patient cases simultaneously.
   
• Comfortable discussing financial arrangements with professionalism and empathy.
