Our Head Start program is dedicated to empowering Native American children and families by providing high-quality early childhood education rooted in cultural values and traditions. We strive to create a learning environment that honors heritage while preparing children for lifelong success. Our program consists of 7 classrooms, and 17 early educators dedicated to teaching our next generation. 

The Education Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring our program delivers developmentally appropriate, culturally responsive, and high-quality education services to children ages 0-5. This position supports teachers and classroom staff, oversees curriculum implementation, and fosters strong relationships with families and the community.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Baccalaureate or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or a Baccalaureate or advanced degree and equivalent coursework in early childhood education with early education teaching experience.
• One year of experience in early childhood program coordination, preferably within Head Start or tribal programs.
• Ability to incorporate Native language and traditions into the learning environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data systems and educational technology (e.g., ChildPlus).
• Pass Criminal Record Clearance, TB Testing, and occupational physical.
• Pass pre-employment drug testing.
