KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science or Engineering.
• Certifications such as ITIL, Data Center Operation Management (DCOM), Data Center Infrastructure Specialist (DCIS), etc.
• At least 4 years of experience in Data center operations, NOC, and IT capacity management (within an IT environment, strongly preferably).
• Working knowledge of enterprise
• Experience with monitoring and ticketing systems (e.g., SolarWinds, Dynatrace, OSP).
• Familiarity with IT compliance and regulatory standards in banking (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
• Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies and data center architecture.
• Demonstrated competencies critical to success: conceptualization, foresight, enterprise perspective, consensus building, leadership, and communication.
• Experience in capacity planning, systems performance analysis and optimization in an Enterprise environment
• Advanced written and oral communication capabilities, ability to influence and successfully interface with IT leadership.
• Strong relationship-development skills resulting in long term mutually beneficial client relationships.
• Ability to identify and communicate technologies that are appropriate to support the achievement of the business strategies and targets.
• Proven ability to build, and foster a team-oriented environment
KEY RESULT AREAS
• Assist in ensuring efficient and reliable operation of the data center facilities, including power distribution, cooling systems, physical security, and maintenance.
• Assist the data center manager to Implement strategies and measures to maintain high availability of data center services, minimizing downtime, and ensuring continuous operations.
• Establishing and testing comprehensive disaster recovery plans to protect critical data and services in case of emergencies.
• Overseeing the efficient monitoring of the organization's network infrastructure and ensuring prompt incident response and resolution.
• Working closely with other IT teams to address complex network issues and ensure smooth communication and cooperation within the organization.
• Analyzing historical data and future business projections to estimate the IT resources required to meet the organization's growth and changing needs.
• Providing capacity-related reports and insights to management and IT teams, assisting with decision-making and resource planning.
