Assistant Brand Manager - Cadbury

Permanent

Based in St Albans/WFH 50%

 

Cadbury is one of the biggest sweet treat brands in the UK and a key part of Premier’s portfolio, valued at £78m RSV. It holds a high internal profile and is critical for delivering total business results. The brand has strong and growing equity in cake, with a broad portfolio spanning Mini Rolls – iconic and much-loved cake product across nation, as well as Cake Bars, Celebration Cakes and more.  

 

  • There are ambitious plans to drive future growth, leveraging growth in our core portfolio, as well as seeking out significant NPD opportunities.  In store support & innovation/ renovation programmes are therefore all part of the mix. 

  • We are looking for an FMCG marketer, with strong drive & the ability to secure business growth.  They need to be capable at working cross-functionally & influencing senior stakeholders.

 

What we need from you....

  • Minimum 2 years successful marketing (brand building) experience within a market leading FMCG organisation 

  • Someone who can demonstrate delivering good results in a fast moving dynamic environment 

  • An ability to work at pace, a strong bias for action and high degree of personal accountability  

  • Able to think ‘bigger picture’, to scope out opportunities for growth.  Coupled with an ability to simplify the complex and cut through noise, to deliver a clear plan of action 

  • Understanding and experience of working with the UK Grocery trade 

  • A commercially and analytically aware individual who is comfortable developing and presenting business cases in an organisation which will only invest on the back of sound quantitative evidence.  

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and lead projects to successful in market delivery, including a marketing activation programme. A real ‘team player’. 

  • A growth mind set: magnify & maximise opportunities. 

  • An instinctive marketer who ‘gets’ consumers and places them at the core of everything that they do 

  • Excellent academic, verbal & numeric skills 

 

What you'll be doing....

  • Responsible for the existing Cadbury portfolio.  Ownership of specific parts of the Brand product portfolio, agreed in conjunction with the Marketing Controller. 

  • Support the Marketing Controller in development & delivery of the annual Brand strategy & plan. 

  • Support the Marketing Controller in delivery of the overall activation strategy & working with agencies and shopper marketing on execution.   

  • Responsible for development & execution of specific EPD projects & launch of specific NPD projects (following hand over to launch by the Innovation project team).   

  • Responsible for Performance Management and Brand Marketing budget, specific to their product portfolio.
