REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager 

DEPT: Finance  


A growing, impactful company is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to assist with the financial operations of our company. This position is critical in supporting the Accounting Manager with accounts receivable, accounts payable, benefits, some HR functions, and admin support. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy and efficiency across all accounting functions.    

Requirements

What You Will Do

Accounts Receivable: Create and distribute invoices, and apply payments, ensuring timely billing and accurate financial record-keeping. Follow up with clients on account balances as needed. 

Accounts Payable: Process accounts payable, ensuring that all invoices are accurately recorded into accounting software and databases. Answer inquiries from vendors while maintaining positive vendor relationships.  

Benefits: Reconcile the monthly invoices for Employee benefits ensuring accuracy and adjusting as necessary. New employee enrollment/offboarding with providers. Assist Accounting Manager with annual open enrollment.  

HR Functions: Onboarding/Offboarding of staff. Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed prior to new employee start date while maintaining accurate up to date records. 

Administrative Support: Provide clerical support to the accounting department, including answering phones, responding to emails, filing, and processing mail. Always maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Assist with other accounting projects and tasks as assigned.  


  

What You Will Bring 

· High School Diploma (Required).

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Preferred).

· 2+ years prior accounting experience.

· Experience in NetSuite, Paylocity, or similar ERP.

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles.

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


What To Expect 

This position is 8 hours per day 5 days per week in office; additional hours may be required during peak times or projects. 

This position is benefits eligible including: Holiday pay, PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Supplemental insurance, and 401K Benefits, after applicable waiting period.
