About the Department

The Bureau of Construction Codes is filling three (3) vacant limited-term Department Analyst 9-P11 vacancies. The anticipated duration of the limited-term appointments are two (2) years.

These position functions as an analyst for complaints submitted under the authority of the Occupational Code, the Skilled Trades Regulation Act, the Elevator Licensing Act, the Elevator Safety Board, the Mobile Home Commission Act and all associated administrative rules and codes. These positions apply licensing law provisions to consumer and local governmental enforcing agency complaints relative to construction work performed on residential and commercial structures, as well as mobile home parks, and conducting compliance conferences to resolve issues. In conjunction with the section’s Regulation Agents, these positions perform a variety of complaint resolution assignments by applying analytical expertise; and prepare and update procedures in accordance with statutes and rules.

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Departmental Analyst 9
No specific type or amount is required.

Departmental Analyst 10
One year of professional experience.

Departmental Analyst P11
Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.


Minimum Qualifications

Departmental Analyst 9 - 12
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
