Position Duties
- Assist with reviewing existing contracts and working with departments on renewal
- Assist with acquiring and reviewing "terms and conditions" in contracts
- Provide administrative support to Purchasing staff
- Entry of data into several different databases
- Prepare and maintain business documents
- Assist with RFPs, Bid Tabulations, Vendor Communications
- Assist with organizational maintenance of the office
- Communicate with other University personnel and outside vendors
- Occasionally responsible for delivery of documents to other campus offices
- Misc. duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Experienced and proficient in: MS Excel and MS Word
- Prefer Supply Chain major with an interest in Public Sector Procurement
- Must be dependable, with a good work history
- Must possess a high level of accuracy in work assignments
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision at times
- Must be able to work during the summer and other breaks (Flexible schedules for breaks can be accommodated upon approval of supervisor)
- Seeking a professional and focused student who can add value to the Department
