Description
As a Landscape Foreman, you will oversee and manage our crew in the execution of various landscaping projects. You will be responsible for on-site day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This hands-on leadership role requires strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct a crew of landscape workers in the installation of plants, trees, sod, and other landscaping materials.
- Ability to safely maneuver crew members, tools, and materials to and from job sites by driving a company vehicle and pulling a trailer up to 17 ft long.
- Read and interpret landscape plans and specifications.
- Schedule and delegate tasks to crew members, ensuring efficient workflow and deadline adherence.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing company safety protocols and proper use of equipment.
- Conduct routine quality checks and ensure projects meet client expectations.
- Order and manage materials and supplies to keep projects on track.
- Maintain accurate records of labor hours and materials used.
- Perform some hands-on landscaping tasks as needed.
- The workday starts at 7:00 AM.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Landscape Foreman or similar supervisory role.
- Proven experience in all aspects of landscape construction, including plant, tree, and sod installation.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture principles and best practices for plant care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively train and motivate crew members.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting landscape plans and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Valid Texas driver's license.
- Masonry experience is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Good physical fitness and stamina required for outdoor manual labor.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and landscape equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Driver's Responsibilities:
- Operates a company vehicle safely and efficiently, following pre-assigned daily routes.
- Assumes responsibility for basic vehicle maintenance, including tire condition, replacement, brake checks, and timely oil changes.
- Maintains strict adherence to all safety protocols and relevant driving regulations, reporting any work-related injuries immediately to designated supervisors.
- Complies with established company vehicle usage policies and upholds a clean driving record.
- Promptly reports any auto accidents to the Service Manager within one hour of occurrence.
- Maintains an active Texas driver's license and provides updated copies to Human Resources.
Salary:
- Training Pay: $18 per hour
- Production Pay: Based on experience
