As a Data Governance Advisor for Business Services, you play a role in developing data governance maturity in the Business Services sector. You serve as a resource person to promote optimal, secure and compliant use of data to help reach business objectives. You implement the governance frameworks by ensuring consistency with regulatory requirements, internal policies and best practices. You help make recommendations on data use and compliance with governance documents that apply to data. More specifically, you will be required to:
Classify and define data according to current standards
Help improve data quality for the benefit of members and clients, in keeping with sound data governance
Support the achievement of the multi-year data quality performance indicator specified in the execution plan
Document data quality issues in the applicable tools (profiling and documentation task)
Develop and maintain data governance logs, tools and dashboards
Identify the sector’s data governance needs and opportunities
Collaborate with Desjardins Group’s data governance teams
Participate in various data governance projects

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience, ideally in data governance
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Knowledge of French is required
Knowledge of analytics tools, data management and their application in a business environment
Knowledge of governance documents and standards for managing, using and sharing data
