Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to provide financial leadership and support long-term business growth. This role will focus on strategic planning, financial analysis and reporting as well as being a hands-on role which takes ownership of all financial operations and supports general business administration. Key Responsibilities:
Finance Administration
- Manage accounts payable and receivable; issue invoices and follow up on payments.
- Process payroll, employee reimbursements, and statutory contributions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and oversee payment runs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
- Prepare and submit VAT/GST/tax filings in line with statutory deadlines.
- Oversee procurement, vendor management, and expense approvals.
- Liaise with bookkeepers in UK, Malta and Canada
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and variance reports.
- Assist in budgeting and monitoring company performance against financial targets.
- Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.
- Lead year-end audit and liaise with external accountants or advisors.
Strategic Planning
- Develop financial strategies to support business objectives and profitability.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for management and stakeholders.
- Partner with senior leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, business cases, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance against KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with local tax, audit, and financial regulations.
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and external advisors.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/ACCA/CIMA preferred
- 3–6 years’ experience in finance/accounting, ideally in an SME or startup environment.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, corporate finance, and compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems and Excel modeling.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on knowledge of accounting software (we use Xero).
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and problem-solving mindset.
- Willingness to be both strategic and hands-on in daily operations.
