Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-class learning support to named students using a range of learning support strategies and actively seek opportunities to promote the student’s self-esteem, confidence and independence.
- Provide out of class support to named students on a 1:1 and / or small group basis to:
- Help consolidate learning delivered by the curriculum team;
- Provide additional strategies to assist with the organisation, management and completion of course related work;
- Produce appropriate tailored additional learning support resources as well as directing them to additional sources and points of reference related to the subject area.
- Promote and enable use of assistive software and equipment to facilitate learning as well as demonstrate assistive technology tailored to individual student’s needs, for example, Read Aloud, Editor and Dictate features within Microsoft.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Experience of working in a supportive role with adults in an educational environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of learning difficulties / disabilities and health conditions and their impact on learning.
- Experience of using a variety of learning support strategies and methods to facilitate learning.
- Ability to provide effective learning support to students both in-class and outside of class as part of 1:1 and / or small group delivery.
- GCSE English and maths (Grade C/4 or above) or an equivalent qualification
