Hybrid Senior Software Engineer bei Red Hat

Develop, operate, and maintain open-source Software Supply Chain Secured (SSCS) services for the use of Red Hat's product development teams. Play an active role in SSCS-related projects and communities like Tekton, Kubernetes, Fedora, and more.
 

*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, Inc. office in Raleigh, NC.
 

What You Will Do:

• Participate in the development of Red Hat's latest productization and release systems along with their respective open-source projects.
• Design, implement and maintain containerized applications and operators on a scalable system with alerting, monitoring and login capabilities.
• Write Kubernetes Controllers to monitor the resources and track the user events.
• Submit code changes with new features and bug fixes and review patches from other members.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to bring innovative ideas to the team.
• Take part in on-call rotation to support users on the managed service.
• Work in a global team, including teams in EMEA, NA, and APAC.
• Work in a new and fast-changing environment with a high level of uncertainty, reacting to changes and requirements quickly.

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related role.
• Must have five (5) years of experience using OOP language GoLang, Python or similar.
• Must have four (4) years of experience with: Linux operating systems as a power user; software configuration management (SCM) systems including GIT; working in an agile methodology; building and running containerized applications and clusters; and CI/CD tools including Tekton.
• Must have three (3) years of experience with GitOps technologies including ArgoCD.

The salary range for this position is $154,877 - $191,840. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
