We’re hiring because we’ve built a product that customers love—and they’re asking us to create even more.
Requirements
Why join?
- Be part of something big: Build from the ground up from day one.
- No bureaucracy: A flat structure where you work directly with the founders.
- Massive growth: Learn what it takes to scale an early YC-backed startup that’s already post-PMF.
- Career-defining role: Lead the engineering organization as an early and foundational hire.
What will you do?
- Own engineering: Take full responsibility for managing and scaling the engineering function, with a strong focus on hiring, mentorship, and retaining top talent.
- Build culture: Establish a culture of transparency, accountability, and growth through clear goals, performance management, and professional development.
- Maximize velocity: Drive engineering best practices to enhance productivity, code quality, and operational excellence.
- Deliver results: Track and execute initiatives to ensure timelines and objectives are consistently met—or exceeded.
- Collaborate closely: Partner with the CTO to maintain technical excellence, reviewing and contributing directly to the codebase.
Who are we looking for?
You’re a strong fit if you are:
- Productive: You hate wasting time and always look for ways to move things forward.
- Independent: You thrive in ambiguity and can build processes and teams from scratch.
- Organized: You enjoy structure and keeping things on track.
- Results-driven: You’re disciplined and do what it takes to hit ambitious goals.
- A clear communicator: You listen closely and communicate effectively with both team members and external stakeholders.
Who is this not for?
You may not be a good fit if you:
- Prefer stability and a traditional work environment. This is a fast-paced, high-growth startup role.
- Aren’t interested in AI technologies or the future of hiring.
What’s in it for you?
- Ownership: Take responsibility for building and scaling a category-defining company.
- Exceptional peers: Work with a close-knit, talented team of builders.
- Impact: See your work directly influence people’s careers and lives.
- Learning: Collaborate daily with the co-founders in person (San Francisco).
- Upside: Competitive compensation and equity.
- Benefits: Health insurance, unlimited PTO, team lunches, and memorable company events.
