• High school diploma or GED

• Proficient knowledge and use of 10 key adding machine and computer
• Good math skills
• Good organizational skills
• Effective interpersonal skills

• One to three years of bookkeeping experience in public education preferred

1. Reconcile cash on hand.
2. Reconcile returned checks.
3. Receipt cash.
4. Deposit cash daily.
5. Receipt daily deposits made by student activity sponsors.
6. Maintain a general ledger of all student activity accounts.
7. Report required monthly bank reconciliation, account ledger, sequential lists of                 checks, and sequential list of receipts.
8. Maintain proper file names and tabulations of monies collected from students for lost textbooks.
9. Write checks for payment of all outstanding debts for the school and activity sponsors.
10. Disburse student activity monies as required.
11. Register student and faculty vehicles, collect fees, maintain records.
12. Provide principal with financial data as required.
13. Project a good image for students in dress, demeanor, and speech.
14. Demonstrate a positive attitude toward life and students.
15. Display punctuality, congeniality, dependability, and efficiency.
16. Exhibit exemplary ethical and moral behavior.
17. Cooperate fully with colleagues in shared responsibilities.
18. Show tolerance for peer differences and promote harmony.
19. Share experiences, ideas, and knowledge with peers.
20. Seek advice and counsel when needed.
