Major/Essential Functions
The Senior Specialist, Student-Athlete Scholarships and Revenue Share supports the operations and processing needs for student-athlete scholarship and revenue share activity within the Athletics Business Office. This role manages critical backend functions related to student-athlete scholarships, revenue share, international student-athlete tax compliance, and athletic endowments. The position requires strong attention to detail, advanced organizational skills, and the ability to analyze and execute data-driven processes in alignment with NCAA, Big 12, and university policies.
Athletic Scholarship Processing
- Process and reconcile athletic scholarships, including tuition and fees, books and supplies, training table, room and board, and cost of attendance distributions.
- Process reimbursements to student-athletes for required course materials.
- Prepare annual reconciliations for Fall, Spring, and Summer aid. Provide detailed scholarship distribution information for the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) report.
Student Assistance Fund (SAF) and Endowment Processing
- Distribute SAF funds in accordance with NCAA and Big 12 guidelines.
- Create yearly reports for the NCAA and the Big 12 related to SAF
- Process athletic endowment fund transfers for the Fall and Spring semesters.
Revenue Share Processing
- Process revenue share payments and submit payments to the CAPS management system.
- Facilitate monthly account funding, complete monthly reconciliations, and required reporting throughout the fiscal and calendar year.
- Assist with required tax reporting and verification of data for calendar year reporting.
Data Management & Reporting
- Utilize various technology systems for processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records for all student-athlete activity.
- Generate reports and reconciliations to support audits, NCAA and Big 12 reporting, and departmental planning.
- Monitor and apply applicable institutional, NCAA, and Big 12 policies.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Sports Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in financial operations, data processing, or athletics administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database systems.
- Experience working in higher education or athletics administration.
- Knowledge of financial aid and scholarship administration.
- Understanding of international student requirements (visas, taxation).
- Experience preparing financial reconciliations and compliance reports.
