Electrical Installation Technician II

Job Summary

An Electrical Installation Technician II for Bastian Solutions is a hands-on position focusing on the electrical installations of both large- and small-scale conveyor, robotic, automation, and commercial electrical systems. In this position, you would be expected to learn and perform duties and tasks assigned to you daily. This position requires continuous travel to client sites for the installation of material handling systems.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Safely complete daily tasks assigned to you by site leadership in a timely manner and to desired expectations and outcomes.
• Perform or assist in electrical installation work under direct supervision of a more senior electrician, such as a Lead, Supervisor, or Superintendent.
• Understand how to handle basic issues and troubleshoot a system.
• Possess knowledge of basic electrical terminology.
• Understand proper hardware usage.
• Assist in and possess knowledge of methods for conduit, wireway, etc.
• Possess knowledge of conduit bending, wire pulling, and termination techniques.
• Understand troubleshooting methods and techniques.
• Assist less senior personnel in electrical installations, connections, and terminations under
• moderate supervision.
• Perform other project related duties and assignments as instructed by a supervisor.
• Escalate higher-level electrical concerns to a supervisor.
• Knowledgeable in N.E.C (National Electrical Code)
• Able to lead a small crew, project, or task under supervision.

Travel Requirements

• Up to 95% travel. Minimum 3 weeks at a time.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must possess or be able to purchase your own hand tools.

Education Requirements

• Min/Preferred Education Level Description Minimum High School or GED
• Years of Experience 4 years plus of relevant experience
