We’re on the hunt for our next Director of Warehouse Operations and Logistics. This individual will be responsible for overseeing our South Hackensack warehouse, regional hub support, transportation logistics to our retail network, salvage and aftermarket operations and business, and waste reduction efforts. This role is critical to driving operational efficiency, maximizing donation impact, and fostering a high-performance, safety-focused culture. With a strong focus on lean practices, speed optimization, and data-driven decision-making, this leader will scale operations, grow a results-oriented team, and ensure both tactical execution and strategic oversight. Success in this role means running a tight, high-output warehouse while reducing waste and maximizing revenue for our mission. 

The Awesome Things You’ll Do

• Oversee all operations of the South Hackensack warehouse and regional support hubs, ensuring high efficiency, accuracy, and productivity 
• Lead logistics, trucking, and transportation systems to ensure timely, cost-effective, and reliable movement of goods 
• Manage salvage and aftermarket processes, ensuring profitability while reducing waste and maximizing value recovery 
• Oversee and improve waste and trash reduction strategies, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals and operational efficiency 
• Ensure daily operational excellence across the retail network, maintaining consistent inventory flow, timely replenishment, and strong warehouse-to-retail coordination 
• Grow, manage, and schedule warehouse teams effectively, aligning staffing levels with volume demands and building a high-performing, mission-driven culture 
• Drive a culture of safety, speed, and operational excellence across all warehouse and logistics functions 
• Utilize technology and reporting tools to increase inventory visibility, optimize storage and picking processes, and support data-driven decisions 
• Balance day-to-day execution with long-term strategic planning to scale operations in alignment with organizational growth 
• Champion lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies 
• Ensure all donations are utilized effectively to support the organization’s mission and reduce waste 
• Ensure salvage and resale programs are consistently profitable and aligned with operational goals 

Our Must Haves

• 7+ years in operations and logistics; retail or warehousing experience required
• Proven ability to lead warehouse and logistics operations at scale 
• Strong analytical skills and passion for using data to drive decisions 
• Deep understanding of lean principles and operational efficiency; lean certified preferred 
• Hands-on leadership style with ability to zoom in and out strategically 
• Passion for mission-driven work and making a tangible impact 
• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, logistics preferred
