Hybrid Sports Operator bei Maslow Media Group

We’re hiring a Sports Operator to support the video operations and entertainment platforms of a global telecommunications leader. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of live sports and entertainment delivery—monitoring feeds, triggering live blackouts, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth health of linear, streaming, VOD, and ad insertion platforms. 

The position is located in Irving, TX.  This is a full-time, onsite, contract position working for Maslow Media Group at one of our clients and is eligible for benefits.  The pay rate for this position is $25.00 per hour firm. 

Who Will Succeed?

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting video operations ideally as part of a 24/7 staff delivering technical support. You will be monitoring HD, live action streaming on multiple monitors. You will be assisting with the management of the health of the Entertainment Platform within, but not limited to the Linear, Streaming, VOD and Ad Insertion platforms. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Monitor live transmissions for audio/visual quality and content issues. 

• Trigger blackouts for daily LIVE sporting events and playbacks. 

• Manage event schedules and provide accurate shift handoffs. 

• Run routine system checks, troubleshoot reception issues, and collaborate with vendors and teammates to resolve problems. 

• Create and maintain logs and trouble tickets (ServiceNow) for on-air and maintenance activities. 

• Follow procedures to authenticate, troubleshoot, and restore broadcast reception. 

• Collaborate with internal team members and external vendors to resolve equipment and software issues.

What We’re Looking For: 

• 1+ year in video operations or technical broadcast support (24/7 operations a plus) 

• Associate’s degree in a technical field (Bachelor’s preferred) 

• Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts (4x10 schedule) 

• Detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and able to stay cool under pressure. 

• General sports knowledge including rules, runtimes, and different league periods of play 

• Experience as part of a 24/7 technical support operation. 

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed. 

• Shifts are typically 4 10-hour days but flexibility is a must!  The shift will be one of the following:   

• Mid-Shift: Wednesday-Saturday 12:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. (Covers Morning Shift when needed) 

• Evening: Wednesday-Saturday 3:00 P.M. to 1:00 A.M.
