The Associate Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for accurately executing, communicating and clarifying HR processes and policies, providing HCM system support and navigation. This position will support managers and team members with second tier support to address questions regarding HR programs such as payroll, HCM functionality, timekeeping, benefits, reporting and compliance follow-up. This position will support the business in production level recruiting and will also partner with HR Business partners and managers across Scoular to provide timely responses and completion of unemployment claims.
HR Operational & Compliance Activities:
- HCM position management to ensure consistency and accuracy in understanding of and representing accurate workforce planning needs.
- Partner with division managers to ensure accurate data maintenance and compliance deadlines for new hires, transfers, promotions, changes in pay and termination in HCM system.
- Partner with managers to ensure timely completion and compliance with I-9 requirements.
HR Support:
- Collaborate with HR Operations and HR Center of Expertise teams to ensure consistency and alignment in HR processes while bringing a continuous improvement mindset to the work.
- Actively develop skills with guidance from Talent Acquisition and Compensation team to support managers’ hiring and staffing needs across the Oilseed & Specialty Ingredient teams. This includes updating and drafting job descriptions, posting language, interview best practices, compensation review and onboarding activities.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and managers to accurately and timely respond to unemployment claims.
- Acts as liaison for managers and team members with questions and support regarding HR programs such as payroll, timekeeping and attendance, benefits, federal and state compliance reporting to resolve inquiries that cannot be resolved through normal processes.
- Assist with new hire orientation, benefit enrollment and questions to enhance the employee experience when joining the Scoular team.
- Partner with safety team and management on active worker’s compensation claims to provide consistent employee support and timely pay details to benefit provider and payroll teams.
- Drive consistent and timely communication to business about HR reminders and deadlines (performance management, benefits enrollment, compliance training, compensation changes, etc.).
- Develop relationships with leaders and employees to facilitate and promote an environment that attracts and retains diverse talent.
