Key Responsibilities 

  • Setup and break down bar area for service and special events.
  • Keep a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories.
  • Wash, slice, pit, and prepare fruit garnishes for drinks.
  • Mix beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits.
  • Take beverage orders and serve numerous members at a time.
  • Carry a full cocktail tray in one hand and serve beverages with the other.
  • Check daily reservations and function sheets for each shift.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
  • Follow proper food handling procedures per Riverside County Food Handler Cert.
  • Support a safe working environment at all times.
  • Input all beverage orders into Jonas for member accounts to be charged.
  • Report to work as scheduled, in uniform, clocked in, and ready to be in position.
  • Follow Club policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Communicate with F&B management to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Greet all members formally by using their surname.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  

  • Must possess and maintain valid California Food Handler Certification (FHC) and Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) Certification or obtain them within the timeframes required by California law. Food Handler Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. RBS Certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous Bartending experience required.
  • General competency with point-of-sale system, Jonas experience preferred.
  • Must be able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with members, guests, and coworkers.
  • Must be able to remain on feet standing and walking for long periods of time, up to 8 hours. As well as sit, squat, reach, bend, stoop, and twist.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to work outdoors, exposure to various weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind and rain.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be outgoing, friendly, courteous, and patient.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform policies.
  • Must be familiar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Must learn member names and use them in greeting members.


Physical Requirements

  • Workplace is fast paced with considerable movement throughout shift.
  • Must be able to remain on feet standing and walking for long periods of time, up to 8 hours. As well as sit, squat, reach, bend, stoop, twist, and wipe.
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 25 - 30 lbs.
  • Physical activities include walking, talking, standing, stooping, hearing, seeing, talking, bending, reaching, fingering, feeling, touching, writing, grasping, handling, stretching, balancing, pushing, pulling, and wiping.
  • Interaction with all types of people.
  • Considerable repetitive motion of hands, wrists, shoulders, and back is required.
  • Must be able to work outdoors, exposure to various weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind and rain.
  • Works days, nights, holidays, and/or weekends as required.
  • Work in a noisy, fast paced environment with distraction conditions.
  • Read and write handwritten notes.
