Position Summary:

The SQA Calibration Associate is responsible for the regular calibration and maintenance of all SQA equipment to ensure compliance with all ISO and other federal quality standards. The Calibration Associate will also collaborate with external vendors on calibration, maintenance, and quotes/estimates needed for all lab and SQA equipment.

 

Outline of duties:

  • Schedule and perform calibration for all SQA equipment including collaborating with external vendors for 3rd party calibrations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors on all necessary maintenance of SQA lab equipment.
  • Regular tracking of all SQA equipment and calibrations to ensure compliance with all ISO and other federal quality standards.
  • Assist SQA management with capital project and lab budgets by gathering quotes and estimates for SQA equipment related items.
  • Assist with the coordination and management of SQA lab and/or equipment budgets throughout the fiscal year.
  • Work alongside a team to complete manufacturing processes towards the final assembly of Subaru vehicles.
  • Participate in Safety, Environmental, and Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) activities.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma (or GED)
  • Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word)
  • Proven experience with ISO.
  • Experience with various precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, pin gages, height gages, etc.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Basic aptitude in mechanical and math.
  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certificate in quality, engineering technology, or related field.
  • Previous experience in automotive quality/reliability.
