Join Us as Manager, Data Analytics – Forecasting & Data Governance Lead

Are you passionate about turning complex data into strategic insights that drive business growth? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your expertise in forecasting and data governance can directly influence operational excellence?

We’re looking for a Manager, Data Analytics who can lead with vision and precision. In this pivotal role, you will own the strategy and execution of our demand forecasting models and data governance frameworks. You'll help shape the future of how we predict customer behavior, optimize inventory, and scale operations across our organization.

This is more than a technical role — it's a strategic leadership opportunity that blends analytics, cross-functional collaboration, and innovation. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and cross-departmental partners to translate data into actionable decisions that impact the bottom line.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Forecasting & Strategic Analysis

·         Lead the end-to-end forecasting and budgeting process, owning models that predict customer demand, sales, and order volume across multiple business units.

·         Analyze historical trends, seasonal patterns, and market dynamics to generate reliable, forward-looking forecasts.

·         Partner with merchandising, supply chain, and operations to ensure forecast accuracy and optimize resource planning.

·         Identify data-driven opportunities for revenue growth, cost savings, and operational improvements.

Data Governance & Quality

·         Build and implement a robust data governance framework that ensures data integrity, security, accessibility, and compliance across the organization.

·         Define and enforce data policies, standards, and stewardship roles that promote consistent, trusted data usage.

·         Evaluate data architecture and recommend best practices for managing data pipelines and metadata.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence

·         Collaborate with stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Product to identify data needs, align goals, and deliver valuable insights.

·         Communicate analytical findings clearly and effectively to executives and non-technical audiences, helping drive informed decisions at the highest level.

·         Act as the key bridge between technical analytics and strategic business planning.

Team Development & Mentorship

·         Lead, coach, and inspire a team of high-performing data analysts; foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.

·         Champion professional development and create a psychologically safe environment where diverse ideas are valued.

·         Establish scalable processes and workflows that enable your team to thrive in a growing, agile environment.

Growth Opportunity

This role is designed with long-term career growth in mind. As the Manager, Data Analytics, you’ll have a seat at the table in shaping our data strategy and building the foundation for scalable analytics across the company. Here’s what growth can look like:

  • Director-Level Pathway: Demonstrated success in this role — particularly in scaling forecasting capabilities, building a strong data governance practice, and influencing business strategy — will position you for promotion to Director of Analytics or Data Strategy within 12–24 months.
  • Broader Scope & Impact: As we grow, you'll have the opportunity to expand your team and own analytics across additional domains (e.g., marketing, customer behavior, pricing optimization), increasing both your influence and visibility.
  • Executive Exposure: You’ll work directly with senior leadership and decision-makers across departments, giving you regular exposure to C-suite stakeholders and the opportunity to shape key business decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Career Mobility: We actively support internal mobility — whether you're interested in stepping into a more strategic role, product analytics, or operational leadership, we’ll work with you to build a career path that aligns with your goals.

This role isn’t just about managing data — it’s about becoming a strategic leader in a data-driven organization.

What We’re Looking For

·         Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a strong plus.

·         Experience: 7+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity. Prior experience in e-commerce, retail, grocery, or consumer insights is highly desirable.

·         Technical Skills:

o    Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and statistical modeling tools (e.g., SAS, R).

o    Strong experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

o    Understanding of data warehousing and data pipeline tools (e.g., Snowflake, DBT) is a plus.

·         Business Acumen: Strong commercial mindset with the ability to link data insights to business strategy and ROI.

·         Soft Skills: Excellent communicator and presenter; able to influence senior leadership and collaborate across departments.

·         Decision-Making: Strong analytical thinker with a bias toward action and the ability to make strategic decisions under ambiguity.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

·         Be at the forefront of data-driven transformation in a fast-scaling, customer-centric organization.

·         Influence core business strategies and see the tangible impact of your work on customer experience and company growth.

·         Work with a passionate team that values curiosity, innovation, and continuous learning.

·         Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits — we take care of our people so they can do their best work.

·         Time Off: PTO, Safe & Sick Time, and Paid Holidays.

·         Health Benefits: Medical, vision, dental and voluntary disability benefits.

·         Financial Benefits: 401(k) + employer match and life insurance.

·         Location: Our state-of-the-art campus is located in the Bronx, featuring an on-site gym, cafeteria and an employee market. We offer free on-site parking and provide an employee shuttle service from nearby MTA stations.

·         People Investment: We offer job training to our operations and transportation team members to facilitate career advancement. Additionally, we invest in leadership development programs that provide opportunities for professional growth. We have also partnered with local colleges to offer tuition discounts.

·         Perks: Employees can take advantage of a 20% employee discount on online orders and at our wine store. Our on-site employee market showcases our products at substantial markdowns. Additionally, we organize vendor spotlights and engagement events that give employees the opportunity to experience our products firsthand.
