We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, direct patient care and support to providers and clinical staff by performing both clinical and administrative duties in a professional and efficient manner.


Advocare, LLC is a physician-owned partnership of leading pediatricians, family practitioners, and specialists in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. As a Medical Assistant, you’ll be an integral member of a forward-thinking clinical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and service in a dynamic healthcare environment.


Medical Assistant Essential Functions:

  • Perform a wide range of administrative and clinical tasks, including obtaining and documenting patient medical histories, answering and directing phone calls, and ensuring completion of all necessary forms
  • Maintain medical supply inventory and perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Prepare patients for examinations by conducting preliminary physical assessments, taking vital signs, and summarizing patient history for providers
  • Set up and maintain clean, organized treatment rooms for clinical examinations
  • Communicate physician instructions to patients and answer basic questions regarding treatment and care
  • Provide compassionate support and assistance to patients and their families throughout their visit
  • Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA
  • Assist providers, clinical staff, and other team members as needed
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support overall clinic operations

Medical Assistant Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of medical procedures, administrative workflows, and organizational policies
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Proficient in a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and records management
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership when needed
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to express ideas effectively
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Requirements

You must have at least a full year of being a pediatric medical assistant with the ability to draw blood, gives vaccines, be flexible, willing to travel between two offices. Also this position is also cross trained to work at the front desk. You must have reliable transportation such as a vehicle. You must enjoy working with children of all needs.   Medical Assistant Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of prior experience in a medical setting preferred
