Job Title: Part-Time Production Associate
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Production Associate to join our team. This position offers guaranteed hours from 8 PM to 2 AM on Wednesdays, with the potential for additional hours based on workload. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety policies and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Primary duties include hand collate papers
Other Duties:
- Communicate continually with the finishing operator regarding the performance of the current job.
- Stack finished books evenly on a pallet or skid.
- Efficiently feed the pockets with printed materials as needed.
- Inspect products brought to the machine to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Verify that correct information is placed on the pallet, skid, or cage tag.
- Insert skid tags into the shrink-wrap of pallets or skids for shipping.
- Adhere to department operational policies and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Previous experience in a production or warehouse setting is a plus but not required.

- Working knowledge of printing, finishing, and related processes.
- Working knowledge of the department equipment.

- Must be able to carry out multi-task projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to understand and clearly communicate the company’s vision.
- Regular and consistent attendance as scheduled
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Printing/Finishing experience a plus, but not necessary. On-the-job training provided.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply basic math concepts (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Physical and Working Conditions
The job is performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to large equipment, noise, and materials related to the printing process. The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally bend, stoop or kneel.
- Ability to use hands and arms to type, reach, handle or feel.
- Ability to regularly lift/move 10 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
