Travel Required: No travel 

Work Conditions: Work is performed in a manufacturing warehouse environment with exposure to moving equipment, forklift, fluctuating temperature, dust, and moderate noise, requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, or hearing protection.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or inventory control, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with inventory management systems, cycle counting, and material staging is preferred; forklift experience is a plus.
Pay: Determined based on candidate’s skills and experience

Requirements

  

What You’ll Do

Material Handling & Staging

  • Manage the picking and pulling of raw materials for  the Automatics department and flat pattern parts from the steel warehouse  for the Press department.
  • Stage materials for forklift delivery to the next operation to support efficient workflow.
  • Safely transfer materials between warehouse locations to maintain organization and inventory accuracy.

Inventory Management

  • Conduct regular cycle counts to verify stock levels and support accurate recordkeeping.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockout's or overstocking.
  • Research transactions to identify potential errors or  material shortages.
  • Implement checks, double verification, and process  improvements to reduce transaction errors.
  • Ensure high cycle count accuracy to support financial reporting and audits.
  • Process & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and address process gaps impacting inventory      accuracy or material flow.
  • Identify and address process gaps impacting inventory accuracy or material flow.y processes.
  • Understand and help mitigate the financial impacts of  inventory variances, including write-offs, shrinkage, and obsolescence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

   

Minimum:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • 1–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, materials handling, or inventory control, preferably in a manufacturing      environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with inventory management systems or ERP software.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
  • Familiarity with cycle counting and staging materials for production work orders.

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting above 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods while handling inventory.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and inventory scanners.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including noise, temperature changes, and storage areas.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and follow safety procedures to ensure proper handling and tracking of materials.
