Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include:
- Responsible for assisting the medical staff by collecting information, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing patients for examination.
- Assisting with procedures, performing specialty-related tests/monitoring, and monitoring sedated patients as needed.
- Performs reprocessing and disinfecting of instruments.
- Maintains a comfortable, orderly, safe, and clean environment. Responds to emergency situations as directed.
- May perform post-procedure duties including, assisting with post anesthesia recovery, providing information and education, and transporting patients.
- Assisting with the overall delivery of patient care in the departments and other duties as assigned.
Salary: Hiring range, based on experience and credentials:
- Level I: $24.53 - $33.19 per hour.
- Level II: $26.98 - $36.51 per hour.
Workdays: The clinic is open Monday-Friday. The Endoscopy Technician's scheduled hours are four 10-hour shifts (7:00 am to 5:30 pm) with a day off TBD, but can only be Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including:
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous Endoscopy Technician or Medical Assistant is strongly preferred. Specialty GI experience is a plus!
- Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS may be required by specialty.
- Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred. Epic experience is a plus!
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
- Excellent attendance and work ethic.
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
- A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
